Meaning, material & care
The details behind this piece.
Start with the rose quartz: a soft pink translucent quartz, usually cloudy rather than clear. The second note is the jade — a smooth, subtly translucent stone with a fine internal grain. As a shape it is a strand that sits at the wrist. It belongs to Dolma Designs, a series using compassion and quiet courage as contemporary design themes. The Buddha motif is rendered as a seated figure in shallow relief. It is drawn from Buddhist visual tradition and gives the design a composed, symmetrical centre; its meaning sits with the wearer rather than in any promised outcome.
The materials do not age at the same rate, and that difference is worth setting out. For the rose quartz, the behaviour matters more than the finish: it wears well, though the colour is light-sensitive over long periods in strong sun. Jade is a different case in wear: it is tough and forgiving in daily wear, and the surface takes a gentle sheen with handling.
This configuration is sized for a 5.5–5.9 in (14–15 cm) wrist. Send a measurement rather than a size letter and we will match the closest available option. What the motif stands for is a personal intention, and no result is promised for it. Slight differences in shade, inclusion and grain between pieces are inherent to the materials. The selected piece, its measurements and the preparation window are confirmed in writing before you pay.
Care
Store it out of direct sun and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Avoid impact at thin edges and keep it away from household chemicals; a soft dry cloth is enough. Take it off before swimming, bathing or washing up; prolonged water is the most common cause of avoidable wear. Put it on last and take it off first, and keep it in its own pouch between wears.
