The jade leads here, and it is a smooth, subtly translucent stone with a fine internal grain. The textile cord provides the counterweight, being a tight woven cord with a matte, slightly fibrous surface. The form is a band built around a centre detail, and it belongs to Dolma Designs, a series using compassion and quiet courage as contemporary design themes. The dragon appears as a coiled, scaled creature worked into a continuous curved line. It is drawn from East Asian visual tradition and gives the design a long flowing rhythm.
The piece mixes several materials, and each one has its own habits in wear. For the jade, the behaviour matters more than the finish: it is tough and forgiving in daily wear, and the surface takes a gentle sheen with handling. Textile Cord — a closely braided cord whose matte surface shows the weave up close. Day to day, it softens further with handling, and a strand worn every day will eventually lift where it crosses a metal edge.
It is offered as Blue Jade Dragon Scale Ring, which is the configuration shown in the photographs. The strand comes in seven bead sizes, US4–5 (15 mm) through US11 (21 mm). If two options are close, say how you plan to wear the piece and we will say which one suits it better. The motif is a reminder of what the wearer chooses to hold in mind, not a guarantee of anything. The photographed piece is a representative example; natural variation in the selected piece is expected. Availability, the final measurements and the preparation window are confirmed with you in writing before payment.
Care
Avoid impact at thin edges and keep it away from household chemicals; a soft dry cloth is enough. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Water, perfume and cleaning products are the three things most likely to shorten its life. Wipe it after wear, store it dry and away from direct sun, and it will need very little else.
