Meaning, material & care
The details behind this piece.
The obsidian sets the tone: a near-black volcanic glass with a deep, mirror-like surface. It takes the form of a strand that sits at the wrist, and it belongs to Snowland Story, where landscape and stone are the starting point for the design. The Buddha motif is rendered as a seated figure in shallow relief. It is drawn from Buddhist visual tradition and gives the design a composed, symmetrical centre; its meaning sits with the wearer rather than in any promised outcome. A mantra line is inscribed across the surface, following a Tibetan-language formula and reproduced as a design element. It is presented as cultural context rather than as a ritual service or a charged object. The lotus appears as layered overlapping petals. It is a long-standing motif across Buddhist visual culture, used here for its symmetrical, unfolding geometry.
The piece mixes several materials, and each one has its own habits in wear. Obsidian is a different case in wear: it takes a very high polish but is more brittle than crystalline stone, so it chips rather than scratches.
One configuration is listed — Horse-10 mm — and that is the piece confirmed from the current photographs. Anything not visible in the photographs is answered against the actual piece before you decide. The theme here is courage as a daily cue; nothing about the piece is a promise of safety. Bead tone, matrix and grain will not repeat exactly from one piece to the next, and that is normal. Availability, the final measurements and the preparation window are confirmed with you in writing before payment.
Care
Avoid impact at edges and store it separately so the polished surface is not marked. Water, perfume and cleaning products are the three things most likely to shorten its life. Storing it apart from other pieces keeps the surface in the condition it arrived in.
