Its centre of gravity is the tiger eye, a golden-brown banded stone that shifts and brightens as the piece turns. And where the first is quiet, the obsidian is a near-black volcanic glass with a deep, mirror-like surface. The form is a strand that sits at the wrist, and it belongs to Snowland Story, where landscape and stone are the starting point for the design.

Day to day, it is hard and takes a good polish, so it survives daily wear better than most stones. Obsidian is a different case in wear: it takes a very high polish but is more brittle than crystalline stone, so it chips rather than scratches. Inside the piece, the agate is a banded stone that stays faintly translucent, so each layer picks up light differently. Handled often, it takes daily knocks without dulling, though a thin edge can still chip against stone or metal.
It is offered as Black Obsidian (Purification ♥ Transformation), which is the configuration shown in the photographs. Each selected piece has its own colour balance and marking, so treat the photograph as a close guide rather than an exact sample. Care
Wipe it dry and store it separately; nothing beyond avoiding long soaking is needed. Avoid impact at edges and store it separately so the polished surface is not marked.
