Its centre of gravity is the Tibetan quartz, a quartz with a denser internal texture and more visible veining than a clean crystal. And where the first is quiet, the textile cord is a tight woven cord with a matte, slightly fibrous surface. The proportions are kept to a compact hanging piece, and the design belongs to Snowland Story, where landscape and stone are the starting point for the design. The mountain motif takes the form of a ridgeline silhouette. High ground recurs throughout this studio’s design language, and the profile is used here as a way of holding a landscape in mind rather than as a claim about where the piece was made.
The materials do not age at the same rate, and that difference is worth setting out. For the Tibetan quartz, the behaviour matters more than the finish: the inclusions are structural rather than surface-level, so they stay put through wear. The textile cord is a closely braided cord whose matte surface shows the weave up close. Against the skin, it softens further with handling, and a strand worn every day will eventually lift where it crosses a metal edge.
The piece lists three configurations, namely “Calm Motif”, “Golden Motif” and “Calm & Golden Motif”. The photographs and the written summary carry the same detail, so nothing about the selected piece is left to assumption. The compassion theme is cultural reference and a wearer’s reminder, nothing more. Because these are natural materials, expect small differences in colour and pattern between the photo and your piece. Final measurements, availability and the preparation window are all confirmed in writing before payment.
Care
Avoid impact and household chemicals and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Avoid soaking it, and keep perfume and household cleaners off the surface. Put it on last and take it off first, and keep it in its own pouch between wears.
