Agate gives the design its starting point: a banded, gently translucent stone whose layers catch light at the polished surface. The copper answers with a warm reddish metal with a soft, low-glare surface, which keeps the palette from settling into a single note. It takes the form of a strand that sits at the wrist, and it belongs to Tsering Treasures, a series centred on warm metals, carved detail and mixed materials.
The materials do not age at the same rate, and that difference is worth setting out. Agate — a banded stone that stays faintly translucent, so each layer picks up light differently. Day to day, it takes daily knocks without dulling, though a thin edge can still chip against stone or metal. The copper is a warm red-brown metal that never glares back at you. Against the skin, its surface deepens in tone the longer it is worn, so the colour you receive keeps moving. Inside the piece, the textile cord is a closely braided cord whose matte surface shows the weave up close. Handled often, it softens further with handling, and a strand worn every day will eventually lift where it crosses a metal edge.
Three options are listed, namely “Necklace”, “Bracelet” and “Ring”. Ten options are listed, including “4.5”, “5” and “6”. Anything not visible in the photographs is answered against the actual piece before you decide. The theme is strength as a quiet cue; no result is implied by the material. Slight differences in shade, inclusion and grain between pieces are inherent to the materials. Nothing is charged until the exact piece and its measurements have been confirmed with you in writing.
Care
Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and store it separately so the polish is not scratched by other jewellery. Wipe it dry after wear and store it away from damp air; polish only with a copper-safe cloth if you want the original brightness. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Avoid soaking it, and keep perfume and household cleaners off the surface. Store the piece separately so it does not scratch against harder jewellery.
