This pendant necklace is built from Clear Quartz, Citrine and Textile Cord. It belongs to Snowland Story, where landscape and stone are the starting point for the design. Physically it is a form that hangs from the collarbone, with the centre detail doing most of the visual work.
Piece by piece, the materials used here are: Clear Quartz — near-colourless and transparent, with faint internal veining and small natural inclusions. In wear, it keeps a bright polished surface and shows scratches less than softer stones. Citrine — transparent quartz in warm yellow through to amber tones. In wear, it takes a bright polish and holds colour well, though it is worth keeping out of long exposure to strong sun. Textile Cord — a tight woven cord with a matte, slightly fibrous surface. In wear, it stays soft against the skin and holds a knot well, but a daily-worn strand will fray where it rubs a clasp.
Worn on its own it reads as a single considered point of detail; worn in a layer it sits well above or below a finer chain. It is meant to be worn rather than kept aside, and the surfaces are chosen to change gradually with use.
Drop length decides how a pendant reads: shorter chains sit near the collarbone and longer ones hang toward the chest. These are natural materials, so small differences in colour and marking between pieces are normal rather than a fault. Availability, the final measurements and the preparation window are confirmed with you in writing before any payment is taken.
Care
Avoid prolonged direct sun and household chemicals, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Avoid impact and household chemicals and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Store the piece separately so it does not scratch against harder jewellery.
