Meaning, material & care

The details behind this piece.

What you notice first is the sterling silver — a bright white metal with a cool tone and a high polish. Against that surface, the silver-tone metal sits as a bright silver-coloured metal finish rather than solid silver. Physically it is a strand that sits at the wrist. The piece belongs to Lhasa Moments, a series built around highland light, stone colour and architectural lines. A mantra line is inscribed across the surface, following a Tibetan-language formula and reproduced as a design element. It is presented as cultural context rather than as a ritual service or a charged object.

The materials do not age at the same rate, and that difference is worth setting out. Inside the piece, the sterling silver is a cool white metal that takes a mirror-bright polish. Handled often, softer than steel, it collects fine scratches, and the surface slowly shifts toward a darker tone. The silver-tone metal appears as a bright cool-toned metal finish, plated rather than solid silver. Over months of wear, the finish holds up well day to day, though a plated layer thins gradually where it rubs. Textile Cord — a closely braided cord whose matte surface shows the weave up close. In everyday use, it softens further with handling, and a strand worn every day will eventually lift where it crosses a metal edge.

Sizing is confirmed from your own measurement rather than from a standard label. Ask for extra photographs of the exact piece if any detail matters to your decision. Courage is offered as a personal reminder rather than a promised outcome. Minor variation in tone and surface between pieces is normal for hand-finished metal and cord. The selected piece, its measurements and the preparation window are confirmed in writing before you pay.

Care

Keep it dry, store it in a low-air space, and use a non-abrasive silver cloth when you want the original brightness back. Keep it away from water, perfume and abrasive cloths so the finish lasts longer. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Take it off before swimming, bathing or washing up; prolonged water is the most common cause of avoidable wear. Put it on last and take it off first, and keep it in its own pouch between wears.
