Meaning, material & care

The details behind this piece.

The tiger eye carries the design, and it is a golden-brown banded stone that shifts and brightens as the piece turns. Set against that, the sterling silver is a bright white metal with a cool tone and a high polish. As a shape it is a strand that sits at the wrist. It belongs to Lhasa Moments, a series built around highland light, stone colour and architectural lines. A mantra line is inscribed across the surface, following a Tibetan-language formula and reproduced as a design element. It is presented as cultural context rather than as a ritual service or a charged object. The lotus appears as layered overlapping petals. It is a long-standing motif across Buddhist visual culture, used here for its symmetrical, unfolding geometry.

Each material behaves differently, so it is worth knowing how the parts age before you choose. The tiger eye is a banded stone whose gold and brown lines move with the light as the piece turns. Worn regularly, it is hard and takes a good polish, so it survives daily wear better than most stones. Sterling Silver — a cool white metal that takes a mirror-bright polish. Day to day, softer than steel, it collects fine scratches, and the surface slowly shifts toward a darker tone. The silver-tone metal appears as a bright silver-coloured metal finish rather than solid silver. Against the skin, it keeps its tone with normal wear, and a plated surface can thin over years of daily contact. Inside the piece, the textile cord is a closely braided cord whose matte surface shows the weave up close. Handled often, it softens further with handling, and a strand worn every day will eventually lift where it crosses a metal edge.

Three wrist ranges are listed, spanning 6.75–8 in at the smallest and 9.5–10.5 in at the largest. If you are between two options, the smaller one usually sits better on a piece that carries weight. Strength is offered here as a symbolic theme rather than a promised outcome. Because the stones are selected individually, small variations in colour depth and marking should be expected. We confirm the current piece, the finished dimensions and the lead time in writing before any payment.

Care

Wipe it dry and store it separately; nothing beyond avoiding long soaking is needed. Keep it dry, store it in a low-air space, and use a non-abrasive silver cloth when you want the original brightness back. Keep it away from water, perfume and abrasive cloths so the finish lasts longer. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Keep it out of a damp room and separate from harder pieces, and the finish will hold far longer.
