The first decision in this design was the clear quartz, a near-colourless, transparent stone with faint internal veining and small natural inclusions. The second note comes from the sterling silver: a bright white metal with a cool tone and a high polish. Physically it is a hanging piece that sits at the collarbone. The piece belongs to Lhasa Moments, a series built around highland light, stone colour and architectural lines. The mountain motif takes the form of a ridgeline silhouette. High ground recurs throughout this studio’s design language, and the profile is used here as a way of holding a landscape in mind rather than as a claim about where the piece was made.
Each component is listed with the way it behaves, so nothing about the ageing comes as a surprise. The clear quartz appears as a transparent, near-colourless stone whose faint internal veining shows through the polish. Against the skin, it holds a clean polish well and hides light handling better than a softer stone would. Inside the piece, the sterling silver is a cool white metal that takes a mirror-bright polish. Handled often, softer than steel, it collects fine scratches, and the surface slowly shifts toward a darker tone. The silver-tone metal is a bright silver-coloured metal finish rather than solid silver. Over months of wear, it keeps its tone with normal wear, and a plated surface can thin over years of daily contact.

Care
Avoid prolonged direct sun and household chemicals, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Keep it dry, store it in a low-air space, and use a non-abrasive silver cloth when you want the original brightness back. Keep it away from water, perfume and abrasive cloths so the finish lasts longer. Remove it before a shower or a swim, and dry it fully if it does get wet. Wipe it after wear, store it dry and away from direct sun, and it will need very little else.
