Meaning, material & care

The details behind this piece.

The copper sets the tone: a warm reddish metal with a soft, low-glare surface. The textile cord provides the counterweight, being a tight woven cord with a matte, slightly fibrous surface. As a shape it is a strand that sits at the wrist. It belongs to Lhasa Moments, a series built around highland light, stone colour and architectural lines. A mantra line is inscribed across the surface, following a Tibetan-language formula and reproduced as a design element. It is presented as cultural context rather than as a ritual service or a charged object. The vajra appears as a crossed, symmetrical metal form. It is a recognisable Himalayan Buddhist shape, used here as a precise geometric centre point for the design.

What follows is a plain description of each material, including how it changes. The copper is a warm red-brown metal that never glares back at you. Worn regularly, its surface deepens in tone the longer it is worn, so the colour you receive keeps moving. Textile Cord — a closely braided cord whose matte surface shows the weave up close. Day to day, it softens further with handling, and a strand worn every day will eventually lift where it crosses a metal edge.

The piece lists two configurations, namely “Red” and “DarkRed”. The strand is offered in two wrist ranges, from 5.9–6.7 in (15–17 cm) to 6.7–7.5 in (17–19 cm). Ask us for a photograph on a measured wrist if the difference between two options is unclear. Courage is offered as a personal reminder rather than a promised outcome. Hand-finished metal and braided cord vary slightly between pieces, and the patina continues to move with wear. Availability, the final measurements and the preparation window are confirmed with you in writing before payment.

Care

Wipe it dry after wear and store it away from damp air; polish only with a copper-safe cloth if you want the original brightness. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Water, perfume and cleaning products are the three things most likely to shorten its life. Keep it out of a damp room and separate from harder pieces, and the finish will hold far longer.
