Meaning, material & care

The details behind this piece.

The long 108-bead rhythm is interrupted by warmer amber-tone details, giving the strand a clear visual cadence. It may be handled for counting, carried in a pouch or worn when the confirmed length suits you.

Each material behaves differently, so it is worth knowing how the parts age before you choose. The yak bone appears as an ivory-toned organic material, matte and slightly porous, with natural grain marks. Against the skin, it is light, warm to the touch and slightly absorbent, so it ages fastest where it meets skin. Inside the piece, the amber-tone element is a warm honey-to-cognac translucent material. Handled often, the colour reads deeper in low light and brighter when held against the light, and a soft surface marks more easily than stone.

Bone and amber descriptions are declared. Exact bead diameter, total length and construction are confirmed from the selected strand before payment.

Care

Keep dry, avoid prolonged sun and chemicals, and wipe gently. Ask us before using any cleaner. Keep it dry, out of prolonged sun, and never soak it. Keep it away from alcohol, perfume and heat, and wipe it with a dry soft cloth only. Storing it apart from other pieces keeps the surface in the condition it arrived in.
