The jade sets the tone: a smooth, subtly translucent stone with a fine internal grain. Set against that, the copper is a warm reddish metal with a soft, low-glare surface. The proportions are kept to a strand that sits at the wrist, and the design belongs to Tsering Treasures, a series centred on warm metals, carved detail and mixed materials. The Buddha motif is rendered as a seated figure in shallow relief. It is drawn from Buddhist visual tradition and gives the design a composed, symmetrical centre; its meaning sits with the wearer rather than in any promised outcome.
What follows is a plain description of each material, including how it changes. Jade is a different case in wear: it is tough and forgiving in daily wear, and the surface takes a gentle sheen with handling. Copper — a warm red-brown metal that never glares back at you. Day to day, its surface deepens in tone the longer it is worn, so the colour you receive keeps moving. The textile cord appears as a tight woven cord with a matte, slightly fibrous surface. Against the skin, it stays soft against the skin and holds a knot well, but a daily-worn strand will fray where it rubs a clasp.
The current strand fits a wrist of 5.1–6.7 in (13–17 cm). Both options are made to the same visual proportions, so the choice is about fit rather than look. Stillness is an intention a wearer may bring to the piece, not a promised effect. Stone and organic materials are never identical twice: minor variation in tone and figure is part of the material. Availability, the final measurements and the preparation window are confirmed with you in writing before payment.
Care
Avoid impact at thin edges and keep it away from household chemicals; a soft dry cloth is enough. Wipe it dry after wear and store it away from damp air; polish only with a copper-safe cloth if you want the original brightness. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Water, perfume and cleaning products are the three things most likely to shorten its life. Keep it out of a damp room and separate from harder pieces, and the finish will hold far longer.
