Meaning, material & care

The details behind this piece.

The tiger eye sets the tone: a golden-brown banded stone that shifts and brightens as the piece turns. The gold-tone metal provides the counterweight, being a warm gold-coloured metal finish rather than solid gold. It takes the form of a strand that sits at the wrist, and it belongs to Tsering Treasures, a series centred on warm metals, carved detail and mixed materials. The Buddha motif is rendered as a seated figure in shallow relief. It is drawn from Buddhist visual tradition and gives the design a composed, symmetrical centre; its meaning sits with the wearer rather than in any promised outcome.

Each material behaves differently, so it is worth knowing how the parts age before you choose. The tiger eye is a banded stone whose gold and brown lines move with the light as the piece turns. Worn regularly, it is hard and takes a good polish, so it survives daily wear better than most stones. Gold-Tone Metal is a different case in wear: the tone holds under normal wear, and a plated surface can thin with repeated contact. The copper appears as a warm reddish metal with a soft, low-glare surface. Against the skin, it darkens toward a brown patina with wear and skin contact, which some owners prefer and others polish back. Inside the piece, the textile cord is a closely braided cord whose matte surface shows the weave up close. Handled often, it softens further with handling, and a strand worn every day will eventually lift where it crosses a metal edge.

Sizing runs across three stated ranges: 6.75–8 in, up to 9.5–10.5 in. Ask us for a photograph on a measured wrist if the difference between two options is unclear. What this motif offers is a moment to slow down, framed as cultural reference rather than as an outcome. Each selected piece has its own colour balance and marking, so treat the photograph as a close guide rather than an exact sample. We confirm the current piece, the finished dimensions and the lead time in writing before any payment.

Care

Wipe it dry and store it separately; nothing beyond avoiding long soaking is needed. Keep it away from water, perfume and abrasive cloths. Wipe it dry after wear and store it away from damp air; polish only with a copper-safe cloth if you want the original brightness. Keep it dry, avoid perfume and household chemicals, and replace the cord once the fibres begin to lift. Keep it out of a damp room and separate from harder pieces, and the finish will hold far longer.
