Meaning, material & care

The details behind this piece.

What you notice first is the citrine — a transparent quartz in warm yellow through to amber tones. Against that surface, the ammonite sits as a fossil spiral form with natural ribbing and mineral replacement through the shell. It takes the form of a hanging piece that sits at the collarbone, and it belongs to Tsering Treasures, a series centred on warm metals, carved detail and mixed materials.

Material behaviour explains most of what happens to a piece after a year of wear, so it is worth being specific. For the citrine, the behaviour matters more than the finish: it takes a bright polish and holds colour well, though it is worth keeping out of long exposure to strong sun. Ammonite is a different case in wear: it is a one-off shape in every piece, and the surface is stable but should not be knocked at thin edges. Brass — a warm yellow metal, softer in colour than copper and slightly less reflective. In everyday use, it darkens with use, and in humid air it can take on a green film that wipes away easily.

Sizing is confirmed from your own measurement rather than from a standard label. Ask for extra photographs of the exact piece if any detail matters to your decision. What the motif suggests is a personal intention; nothing about the piece is a promise of gain. Because these are natural materials, expect small differences in colour and pattern between the photo and your piece. The selected piece, its measurements and the preparation window are confirmed in writing before you pay.

Care

Avoid impact and household chemicals and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Keep it dry and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Wipe it dry after wear; a soft cloth restores the shine, and any intentional antique finish should be left alone. Take it off before swimming, bathing or washing up; prolonged water is the most common cause of avoidable wear. A soft dry cloth after each wear is usually enough; store it separately to limit contact marks.
